Reddit Toolkit

The Reddit toolkit connects Arcade to Reddit via OAuth, enabling LLMs to read, post, and interact with Reddit content on behalf of authenticated users.

Capabilities

  • Account & identity: Retrieve the authenticated user's username and their own posts.
  • Subreddit discovery & compliance: Check subreddit existence and access status, fetch subreddit rules, and browse posts by listing type (hot, top, new, controversial) with time-range filtering.
  • Post retrieval: Fetch the full content of one or many posts by identifier; bulk retrieval is available for efficiency.
  • Posting & engagement: Submit text posts to subreddits, comment on posts, and reply to existing comments.

OAuth

This toolkit uses OAuth 2.0 with Reddit as the identity and authorization provider. See the Reddit auth provider docs for setup instructions, required app credentials, and supported scopes.
